About Susan

Susan Conterno is a Fashion Stylist & Wardrobe Consultant, based in Melbourne, the fashion capital of Australia, many of her clients travel from Perth, Sydney, Brisbane and New Zealand to engage her services.

Originally working in costume design Susan has been working as a freelance personal fashion stylist for the last five years. In 2006 she travelled to Milan to study under Luca Boccelli (freelance stylist & personal shopper) and Marianne Leslie (freelance stylist) to further develop her skills.

Susan has recently been featured on ‘The Great Outdoors’ (channel 7) styling Jennifer Hawkins and Candice Alley and on ‘Secrets of the City’ (channel 9) shopping with Dylan Lewis. She has also been a regular contributor to Famous magazine answering reader questions about shopping, fashion and body. She currently performs the role of MC at the Park Hyatt Melbourne Pret-a-Portea Fashion Series and is the presenter of Style Addicts, a monthly evening of style at the Queen Victoria Markets Melbourne.

As a published writer and fashion expert she is regularly quoted in various national newspapers and magazines. She has styled television commercials, music video clips, fashion photo shoots and corporate businesses; along with these commercial projects Susan enjoys styling her private

clients. Above all else she loves to see the transformation in a client’s confidence, a pushing up of a sleave, an added layer or accessory can change a person from wallflower to style icon in minutes!

Susan improves a person’s confidence through the enhancement of their own personal style. She gives people the understanding and skills to dress fashionably in clothes that suit their shape, size and function. She is not an image consultant; she creates a strong personal style for her clients. Classic, unique, alternative or cutting edge - whatever the style she can create it! Particularly skilled in forecasting current trends, Susan works with today’s fashions, styles and colours, to create ‘looks’ and new season wardrobes for her

clients that enable them to wear ‘this minute’ pieces in ways that suit their body shape and lifestyle. Accentuating their best features, making the ‘fashion victim’ feel a thing of the past!
